Director Dietary Services

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and controls resources of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to provide excellent service to the
• customers, employees and patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other
• related duties as assigned.
• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Food Service Management or related field
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in related field
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 years of hospital or nursing home experience depending on formal degree and
• training.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: NA

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Food Manager by the San Antonio Metropolitan Health
District or ANSI Accredited Food Manager Certificate.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Licensed/Registered Dietitian and/or Certified Dietary Manager.
Possession of current licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Dietitians and current registration with
the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
