Study Director for Integrated Oligonucleotide Drug Discovery(J23409)

Responsibilities

1. Lead discussions with clients, understand their needs and prepare tailored proposals to address their needs.
2. Plan and manage integrated projects involving internal teams from different departments including in vitro, in vivo, chemistry and DMPK/tox.
3. Plan and manage internal R&D projects to develop and enhance the oligonucleotide drug discovery platform and capabilities.
4. Analyze current scientific and technical challenges, propose solutions and implement them.
5. Source and manage relationships, and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of outsource providers and collaborators.
6. Strive to enhance team’s performance through effective and efficient management of resources.
7. Work with domestic and overseas BD teams to address client concerns and increase client win rate.
8. Play active roles in preparing study protocols and reports. Document scientific findings and write manuscripts and patents.

Requirements

1. Ph.D. in biology or a relevant major with experience in oligonucleotide drug discovery or related research. Working experience in siRNA or ASO focused company is preferred.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of oligonucleotide drug discovery, especially ASO and siRNA, including drug design, chemical modification, delivery system, in vitro and in vivo evaluations, ADME/PK and toxicology, bioanalysis, bioinformatics for oligonucleotide agents.
3. Familiar with the discovery and development of therapeutic oligonucleotides, especially ASO and siRNA agents.
4. Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology, immunology, etc.
5. Scientific publications on ASO, siRNA, mRNA or other RNA drug discovery.
6. High motivation to embrace new technologies and tools.
7. Demonstrated strong communication skills, high ability to build personal rapport with all stakeholders, and excellent teamwork spirit.
8. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese and English.
