About The Role

Lead discussions with clients, understand their needs and prepare tailored proposals to address their needs.
Plan and manage integrated projects involving internal teams from different departments including in vitro, in vivo, chemistry and DMPK/tox.
Plan and manage internal R&D projects to develop and enhance the metabolic in vitro pharmacology platform and capabilities.
Analyze current scientific and technical challenges, propose solutions and implement them.
Source and manage relationships, and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of outsource providers and collaborators.
Strive to enhance team’s performance through effective and efficient management of resources.
Work with domestic and overseas BD teams to address client concerns and increase client win rate.
Play active roles in preparing study protocols and reports. Document scientific findings and write manuscripts and patents.
Ph.D. in biology or a relevant major with experience in metabolic disease or related research. Working experience in peptide/oligonucleotide focused company is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of metabolic disease-related drug discovery, especially oligonucleotides and peptides, including drug design, chemical modification, delivery system, in vitro and in vivo evaluations, ADME/PK and toxicology, bioanalysis, bioinformatics.
Familiar with the discovery and development of therapeutic peptide and oligonucleotide drugs.
Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology, in vitro pharmacological assays (glucose/lipid metabolism, insulin secretion, mitochondria), etc.
Scientific publications on metabolic drug discovery.
High motivation to embrace new technologies and tools.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, high ability to build personal rapport with all stakeholders, and excellent teamwork spirit.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese and English.
