About The Role

Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement the strategic direction for metabolic disease projects while leading, inspiring, and training a team of researchers. Foster a culture of scientific excellence and commitment to project goals, ensuring alignment of the team’s efforts with the strategic objectives of the IVPU. Provide ongoing guidance and training to team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge to ensure top performance and continuous growth.

Project Management: Undertake full responsibility for metabolic disease projects, from initial planning to successful completion. Your duties encompass overseeing every aspect of the project, including the design and execution of studies, the interpretation and analysis of data, and the preparation of comprehensive study reports. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and uphold stringent quality assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle. Your objective will be to deliver projects punctually, within budget constraints, and in accordance with the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Capability Development: Drive the expansion and enhancement of our service platform specifically dedicated to metabolic disease research. Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in the field. Direct innovative research and development initiatives, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of metabolic disease research. Actively work on extending our services to include new diagnostic tools, therapeutic strategies, and research collaborations, thereby offering our clients the most advanced, comprehensive, and effective solutions in the field of metabolic diseases.

Business Development: Collaborate closely with the Business Development team and colleagues across the IVPU to recognize and cultivate new business opportunities in the field of metabolic disease research. Stay ahead of market trends, ensuring awareness of emerging capabilities and techniques that can drive our competitive edge. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor activities to strategically position our services. Foster and maintain strong relationships with international clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded, thereby driving business growth and client retention.

Ph.D. with >3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO setting, focusing on in vivo pharmacology and metabolic diseases.

Proven track record of leading teams and successful metabolic projects.

Extensive knowledge of metabolic disease models and related approaches.

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in relevant software.

Proficiency in English writing and speaking
