Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, the CAD Designer & FEA Specialist creates and maintains 3D models, 2D drawings, and finite element analysis (FEA) models for rubber-molded sealing products developed by Hutchinson PSS North America. The role serves both Automotive and Non-Automotive markets and converts internal AE requests or customer requirements into robust, manufacturable and virtually validated designs. In addition to CAD development, the position performs structural, contact, compression, deformation and durability simulations to support product optimization. Outputs must comply with Hutchinson dimensioning rules, internal dimensioning tools, and customer specifications including technical cleanliness, ISO/GD&T tolerances, and constraints linked to customer mating parts. The role supports APQP/PPAP documentation and IATF 16949 requirements, enabling robust launches and durable product performance.
