About The Role

In this role, you will lead a team of UX Engineers working on a spectrum of XR devices, from glasses to VR headsets. You will foster a culture of technical excellence and creative problem-solving, guiding the team to transform complex conceptual ideas into functional, high-fidelity prototypes that define the future of XR interaction.

For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by

breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR

team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and

XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we

interact with the world around us. We're building a future where

lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI

to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and

contextually aware experiences.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $188000 - $275000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design environment.
  • 3 years of experience managing people or teams.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks and programming languages (e.g., C#, Kotlin, or JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications

5 years of experience managing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of UX Engineers to implement front-end solutions.
  • Explore product concepts to find directions that address both human and business needs.
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Deliver innovative and engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.
