### **JOB** **TITLE:** **Truck Driver**

### **DEPARTMENT:** Transportation

### **SUMMARY****:** This position is for a CDL driver. No overnights required. Work schedule is Monday-Friday. Daily driving requirements up to 14 hours with 10 hours off.
###
### **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• ### To safely operate a Truck and comply with all DOT regulations.
• ### Efficiently manage daily work schedule to ensure on-time deliveries and load appointments while working within the confines of hours of service.
• ### Maintain accurate log book and load paperwork.
• ### Effectively secure all loads.
• ### Ability to throw and tighten straps multiple times per shift.
• ### Ability to work and drive safely in all weather conditions and during daylight and dark (early morning / early evening) hours.
• ### Manage COD payments

## Qualifications

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**

• Must have a current class “B” CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• 2-5 years of heavy haul, local or long haul driving experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS:**

• Command of English language is a must.
• Ability to read, write and speak effectively

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:**

• Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Basic knowledge of weight and balance
