| | | | | | --- | --- | --- | | **MISSION** PD Instore is a future-forward creator of brand solutions that enlightens, inspires, and transforms the consumer’s experience. | | **ABOUT PD** Founded in 1938, PD is a world-renowned design-to-build partner that crafts custom, future-forward brand solutions for some of the largest brands in retail**.** | **Summary** The Sewing Finisher performs all tasks involved in the sewing department including cutting, measuring, sewing and inspecting. **Essential Duties/Responsibilities** - Operate equipment to cut, sew and adjust machine functions as necessary using dials, pedals, levers, panel buttons, etc - Perform hot knife cuts and sew gaskets - Sew rod pockets - Monitor quality throughout the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt, debris, and quality - Keep supplies readily available and organized - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Count, sort, and stack finished work pieces and dispose of waste material - Clearly label raw material, work in progress, and finished goods - Assist in production and packaging areas as time allows - Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment - Follows all safety and workplace policies **Competencies and Skills** - Ability to read a tape measure - Ability to read and understand patterns and prints - Willingness and flexibility to perform various job tasks in the shop - Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values - Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations - Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment **Education/Certification** - High School Diploma or GED **Experience** - Industrial Sewing experience is a must - 6 months previous experience in manufacturing **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions** - Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday. |
