Job Purpose

• To ensure that our construction equipment and commercial trucks are running proficiently and at their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like lubrication, fluid checks, and cleaning.
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with heavy equipment.
• Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.

## Qualifications

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an equipment and diesel mechanic.
• Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and commercial trucks.
• Experience in performing scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid checks, and cleaning.

Required Skills and Abilities

• A strong understanding of mechanical systems, engines, and heavy equipment components.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting 50lbs + at times, lifting heavy parts and working in various environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other mechanics.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and accessing diagnostic software.
