**Location:** Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) – Kenner, LA

### **Position Details**

• **Employment Type:** Full-Time
• **Pay Rate:** **$12.00 per hour**
• **Shift:** **11:00 AM – 7:30 PM**
• **Schedule:** Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

## **Position Summary**

As a Wheelchair Agent, you will provide safe, courteous, and timely assistance to airline passengers requiring mobility support throughout the airport. You will play an important role in ensuring passengers have a positive travel experience by providing exceptional customer service.

## **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

• Safely transport passengers throughout the airport using wheelchairs.
• Assist passengers with luggage and personal belongings as needed.
• Escort passengers between ticket counters, security checkpoints, gates, baggage claim, and ground transportation areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism and compassion.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, airline personnel, and fellow team members.
• Follow all airport, airline, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and wear the required company uniform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

## **Qualifications**

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

## **Physical Requirements**

• Ability to push occupied wheelchairs safely throughout the airport.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to read, writes, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to

random testing requirements.
