| **General Summary:** | **The Nurse Educator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programs that promote evidence based practice, clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and high quality patient care across Gonzaba Medical Group's Managed Care and Primary Care operations. This role partners closely with physicians, nursing leadership, quality, case management, utilization management, referral operations, and clinic leadership to ensure staff are prepared to deliver exceptional patient care while supporting organizational goals related to quality outcomes, patient experience, value based care, and operational excellence.** |

| **Supervisory Responsibilities:** **General Requirements:** | This position has no supervisory responsibilities. All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner. 1. Develop and Implement training programs for healthcare staff to ensure they are up to date on best practices and procedures 2. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on processes, equipment, and policies for new hires and continuing education. 3. Collaborate with clinic & nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted training plans. 4. Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources, including an annual training plan. 5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed. 6. Maintain records of training completed for compliance. 7. Communicate with staff and management to gather feedback and address any concerns or questions. 8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to training. 9. Serve as a resource and point of contact for nursing staff regarding training and education. 10. Display a positive and professional attitude while upholding the values and mission of the organization. 11. Attends required meetings and contributed to program planning and evaluation. 12. Maintains strictest confidentiality. 13. Performs other duties as required. |

## Qualifications

| **Education and Training:** | Current RN License In The State Of Texas, With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience. Bachelor ’s Degree In Nursing, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Master ’s Degree In Nursing Or Education. |

| **Experience:** | Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education is preferred. Experience in chronic disease management, health behavior change required. |

| **Other Requirements:** | **Computer Skills:** Knowledge of Word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and database software. Skills in using computer/copier. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Experience with electronic medical record systems. |

| **Work Environment:** | This role is primarily in an office environment, though there may be periods of time spent in clinic or construction environments depending on projects assigned. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions are common to a clinic environment. Exposure to debris, dust, sharp objects, chemicals and electricity are common to construction environments. Gonzaba Medical Group will provide training and appropriate PPE as required to be successful and safe in your work environments. |

| **Mental / Physical Requirements:** | Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs. without assistance. Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work efficiently under pressure. |
