Sign Shop Assistant

Heart of America Beverage is seeking energetic candidates to join our sign shop team. If you enjoy a fast paced and dynamic environment, this job may be for you. The most fun part? The ideal candidate must be a team player that can work in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment. This is a part-time position working up to 28 hours per week with a starting rate of pay at $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Creates and prints signs requested by sales team. This includes posters, banners, case cards, shelf tags, cooler stickers, tap handles, table tents, etc.

Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• Printing daily price tags & signs of various sizes using Adobe Suite (use of small format laser printers and various large format printers required).
• Maintain custom tap sticker inventory
• Print custom chain account signage
• Daily production work (cutting, sorting, distributing, laminating, mounting to corrugated plastic, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy in all marketing design efforts
• Understand spec requirements of each job
• Adhere to demands of production schedule
• Maintenance and use of print ship hardware

## Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of Adobe Suite
• Adobe InDesign experience is required
• Must be proficient with a Mac Computer/Mac environment
• Be able to navigate the internet, Microsoft, and update software, etc.
• Be able to occasionally lift up to approx. 50lbs (to load printers & put up paper)
• Must be able to load various types of media for Canon printers & laminates for the laminator, as well as perform light maintenance (change ink, drums, printheads, light preventive maintenance, etc.)
• Be able to handle more than one project at a time & have good communication skills
• Have a reliable form of transportation
• Be a team player!
• Previous Sign Shop experience preferred, but not required
• Required to stand for 1 to 2 hours at a time, climb ladders, lift paper rolls and other objects up to 50 lbs. and use retractable cutting implements
