**Job Summary:**

The **Utility Construction Management Associate 2** ensures that third-party projects on, under, or above our clients’ properties adhere to approved plans and agreements. This role involves identifying and escalating potential non-compliance issues and building relationships with field personnel to maintain compliance.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**

• **Observe utility installations** across railroad property.
• **Perform on-site observations** of trenchless construction within railroad right-of-way, supporting third-party work around live railroad tracks.
• **Document pre- and post-construction site conditions**, verify materials and layouts, and maintain an active dialogue with on- and off-site personnel.
• **Ensure documentation** is in accordance with approved plans.
• **Attend daily job briefings** with railroad (flagger) and contractor teams to discuss project requirements.
• **Participate in monthly training calls**.
• **Submit time and expenses** accurately.
• **Provide daily inspection reports** using a tablet, detailing work progress and adherence to the railroad utility agreement.
• **Escalate non-compliance issues** to management/engineers for review.
• **Travel 100% of the time**.
• **Perform other duties** as assigned or required to meet business needs.

## Qualifications
**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**

• **Knowledge of AREMA standards**.
• **Understanding of general construction practices**.
• **Proficiency in electronic communications**, including e-mail and text.

**Required Education and Experience:**

• **High School Diploma or Equivalent**.
• **5-7 years of railroad or utility experience**.

**Preferred Education and Experience:**

• **Experience with high-risk jobs** (e.g., large diameter installations, shoring near track, non-traditional projects).
• **Basic understanding of tablet operations**.

**Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:**

• **Valid driver’s license** required.
• **Ability to rent and operate rental cars** through RailPros-approved vendors.
