## **About the Role**

Carolina Outreach is seeking a **Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist** to join our team in **Wilson, North Carolina**. In this role, you will provide **individual and group substance use counseling**, crisis support, and treatment planning to individuals working toward recovery.

### Provide Clinical Substance Use Treatment

• Deliver **individual and group substance use disorder counseling** using evidence-based approaches.
• Support clients in developing skills for **recovery, relapse prevention, and long-term stability**.
• Provide **crisis support and intervention** when needed.

### Treatment Planning & Care Coordination

• Develop and maintain **Person-Centered Plans (PCPs)** that reflect each client’s treatment goals.
• Monitor progress and **revise treatment plans as needed**.
• Coordinate services with **families, community partners, and other providers**.

### Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain timely and accurate **clinical documentation**, including:
• Service notes
• Treatment plans
• Progress updates
• Ensure services are **authorized and compliant with program requirements**.

### Client Advocacy

• Advocate for clients and families within the community.
• Support connections to **natural supports, recovery resources, and community services**.

Additional Responsibilities (May Include)

### DWI Services

• Conduct **DWI assessments**
• Facilitate **DWI education and treatment groups**
• Provide **individual DWI counseling sessions**
• Complete and submit **DMV Form 508 documentation**
• Ensure all required **fees and documentation are complete prior to submission**

Additional duties may be assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a **Substance Use Disorder Counselor**.

## **Compensation**

This role is compensated on a salaried basis, providing consistent earnings aligned with the responsibilities and expectations of the position.

• Compensation: $52,083 - $66,880
• This position is eligible for a $3,000 Sign on bonus

*Placement within the range is based on licensure level, education, and experience.*

## **Responsibilities**

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with care teams as needed
• Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
• Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)

## Qualifications
**Position Qualifications.**

• **Education:** Master's degree in Pyschology, social work or counseling.
• **Licensure:**Must hold a LCAS/A in NC.
