About The Role

## Description
**Purpose and Description:**

  • To produce quality parts using a variety of metal fabrication processes and machines.
  • Operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, perforation machines, manual mills, end formers, horizontal and vertical saws

**Major Responsibilities:**

  • Machine set up and operation
  • Running multiple machines and processes simultaneously
  • Follow quality procedures – document as necessary
  • Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools

**Other Responsibilities:**

  • Set up work station and appropriately select dies, drill bits, and other tools for the assigned job
  • Inspection documentation
  • Process job packets accurately using a computer
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by Bauer
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Maintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalism
  • Demonstrate the company core values of Taking Ownership, Striving for Greatness and Showing Our Customers We Care

**Shift:** 1st Monday–Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
## Qualifications
**Desired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:**

  • Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining
  • Blueprint reading and understanding
  • Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work within tight tolerances
  • Accurate use of measuring equipment such as tapes and calipers
  • Accurate documentation
  • Versatility
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • Problem solving skills
  • Analytical ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dexterity
  • Ability to set up, program and operate CNC equipment efficiently is a plus

**Physical Requirements and Environment:**

  • May require frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sometimes working near moving mechanical parts
  • Majority of time standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling
  • Handling, speaking, hearing, seeing, color vision, depth perception
  • Rotation of more physically demanding regular parts, which may include long term runs
  • Indoor, seasonally air-conditioned and heated, machine shop environment
  • Frequent noise
  • Frequent exposure to chemicals, dirt, oils, solvents, paints, dust
  • Eye, hand and hearing protection are required in the production area (employer provided)
  • Must pass pre-placement background check and drug screen before starting employment
