## Description

**Job Summary:**

This position exists for providing classroom instruction, supervision of practicum and student teaching, and serving as an academic advisor at the undergraduate level. This is a part-time position as a 9-month faculty member, in-person at the Lancaster campus.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

**Education and Experience:**

• A minimum of a Masters degree from an accredited institution.
• Teacher certification in Health and Physical Education, Pennsylvania preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Health and Physical Education.
• A positive reputation as an educator and communicator.
• A demonstrated commitment to professional development.
• A well-articulated Christian philosophy of education.

**Instructional Responsibilities:**

• Teach courses in health and physical education.
• Advise/Mentor students.
• Supervise practicum and student teaching placements within the program.

**General Responsibilities:**

• Attend Chapel.
• Attend college and department meetings.
• Attend monthly one-on-one meetings with direct supervisor.
• Maintain regular office hours each week.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and LBC professional development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
