**Ophthalmic Technician**

***Due to continued growth and success, Wolfe Eye Clinic has exciting career opportunities for Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians throughout the state of Iowa. We are a progressive, Iowa-based multi sub-specialty ophthalmology group with ten main locations, ten family vision centers, a surgery center, and several outreach sites. We are looking for passionate, energetic, and patient focused individuals to join our team.***

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

Document patients’ medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record.
Perform patient workups.
Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCTs, and visual fields.
Provide patient education according to physician instructions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge and Qualifications:**

**Ophthalmic experience is required.**
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Experience providing excellent patient care.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing.

**Ideal candidates would be skilled in:**

Manual Refraction
Applanation A-scan
Manual Keratometry
Tonometry
Visual Fields
Retinoscopy
Optical coherence Tomography (OCT)
Fluorescein Angiography
Fundus and optic nerve photography
Corneal Topography
Slit Lamp Photography
B-scans

**Daytime travel required. When traveling outside your base clinic, travel time and mileage will be reimbursed.**
