About The Role

## Allergy Medical Assistant

**This position is a full time, in person position.**Working hours for position are Monday and Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. No Fridays or Weekends

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Allergy Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, making it essential for candidates to have experience in a medical setting. Experience in allergy is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

**Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and administer allergy injections as directed by physician and physician assistants. Monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with medical coding standards (ICD coding)
  • Assists with rooming patients
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating referrals

## Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience

  • Knowledge of Allergy is desired but not required]
  • Prior work experience as a Medical Assistant is desirable
  • Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail required
  • Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient documentation
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively
