Job Title: Maintenance Technician I

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

**Summary:** Ensures the efficient operation of the operating facility and its equipment by performing mechanical functions (i.e. replacements, installs, upgrades, etc.) and general maintenance of equipment. Identifies and prevents ongoing maintenance failures, reacts quickly to unforeseen events, and has the technical and mechanical ability to complete repairs. Assists in the maintenance of tools, power equipment and the inventory of spare parts for the department.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Identify, repair, install and maintain conveyors and equipment and the physical building in a manner that meets organization standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime in accordance with safety practices. Exhibit the mechanical aptitude for facility repair skills, including plumbing, electrical fixture repairs, lighting repairs, cleaning, and painting.
• Installs electrical wiring, conveyors, and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs material handling equipment.
• Perform and complete assignments or Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and Work Orders (WO) distributed through computer based PM/WO system. Prioritize and complete work orders and ensure any required documentation is also completed. Ensure conveyors and equipment is maintained pursuant to our preventative maintenance programs and assist in the development and maintenance of all preventative maintenance programs.
