**POSITION SUMMARY:** This assistant is responsible for assisting in Robotic Visual Inspections utilizing equipment including borescopes, push cameras, crawler systems, and underwater submarines. Additionally, when discovered, the assistant will work to perform retrieval of the foreign material. Technician will be responsible for assisting in the development of inspection techniques. This job requires travel to job sites, including power generation stations (nuclear, fossil, natural gas, etc.). In addition, the assistant will assist the other ATS Departments, as needed, to support operations during peak seasons. **This is a full-time position in Harrisburg, NC northeast of Charlotte, NC and requires relocation for those qualified candidates not already living in the area.**
**ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS**
- Assist in Performing RVI Inspections
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Assist in reporting deliverables for the customer.
- Become proficient in the operation of robotic and remote visual inspection tools.
- Teamwork: Coordinate with other employees to ensure operational needs are met.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues with minimal guidance
## Qualifications
**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Experience: Proven experience in working in high stress environments with teams.
- Education: Minimum of HS Diploma accompanied with suitable past work experience
- Leadership: Strong ability to follow and be part of a team.
- Communication: Effective skills for communication with team and customers.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Certificates and Licenses: Certifiable to ASNT TC-1A in the appropriate method when eligible.

- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

**Work Conditions:**
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
- Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
- Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
