## Description
**Job Summary:**
The Support Services Technician plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our non-emergent medical transportation (NEMT) services. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining vehicles, keeping their local office organized and well-stocked, and
providing general support to transportation team members. The Support Services Technician will assist with light mechanical tasks, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure that all equipment and supplies are in working order for daily operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Vehicle Preparation & Maintenance:**
- Ensure vehicles are properly stocked, cleaned, and ready for deployment.
- Perform light mechanical tasks such as inflating tires, jumpstarting vehicles, and changing light bulbs when necessary.
- Shuttle vehicles between locations as needed for maintenance or operational purposes.
**Stock & Inventory Management:**
- Maintain adequate levels of equipment and supplies within their local office to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor of low-stock items or equipment needing replacement.
**Facility Management:**
- Keep the local office clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Perform general cleaning duties such as removal of trash and debris from the office and surrounding areas.
**Team Support:**
- Assist transportation team members with patient movements includingwheelchair patients and stretcher based patient.
- Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are safely and properly stored.
**Health & Safety:**
- Ensure that all vehicles and equipment meet company safety standards and regulations.
- Report any issues, malfunctions, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Possess a non-probationary driver's license for at least 3+ years
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing light repairs and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 150 lbs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance, transportation, or a related field preferred.
**Working Conditions:**
- This position requires frequent movement, lifting, and transporting equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
**Physical Demands:**
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift objects regularly throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying equipment.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions as needed for vehicle maintenance and office upkeep.
