**Primary Position Purpose:** The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of agency facilities, maintenance operations, environmental services, safety coordination, and capital improvement initiatives to support safe, efficient, compliant, and effective healthcare environments across the organization.

**Position Summary:** The VP Real Estate, Facilities & Environment of Care is responsible for leading the agency’s facility operations, maintenance services, environmental safety functions, capital improvement planning, and facility compliance activities across multiple locations.
This role serves as the primary operational leader for facility management, ensuring agency facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and supportive of high-quality behavioral health and healthcare services.
The VP Real Estate, Facilities & Environment of Care partners closely with executive leadership, operational leaders, vendors, contractors, and support departments to improve infrastructure performance, support strategic growth initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

**Key Activities:**
- Facilities Operations & Maintenance Leadership: Oversee daily facility operations, preventative maintenance programs, repairs, inspections, and environmental services activities, develop and implement facility management standards and operational procedures, ensure safe, clean, and functional environments across all agency locations
- Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire code, life safety, environmental safety, and healthcare facility standards, support accreditation readiness and regulatory inspections, oversee facility safety initiatives, emergency preparedness coordination, and operational risk mitigation activities
- Capital Planning & Project Management: Coordinate facility renovations projects to meet agency’s programmatic needs. Develop project team, scope, timeline and budget for capital projects expansions, relocations, and construction projects, oversee contractors, vendors, and external service providers to ensure quality and timely completion of projects
- Financial & Operational Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor facility expenses and operational performance, oversee vendor contracts, purchasing activities, and maintenance expenditures, identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operational leadership, HR, Finance, IT, clinical leadership, and external partners to support organizational operations and growth, assist leadership with facility planning and infrastructure decision-making, support agency emergency response and business continuity planning
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide supervision, coaching, and performance management for facilities staff, establish department goals and accountability standards, support staff development and operational consistency across facility functions
## Qualifications
**Skills & Experience:**
- Preferred experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site service environments
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance systems, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience managing capital projects, vendors, and facility budgets
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in fast-paced environments
- **Education & Experience:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible facilities management experience
- Minimum of three years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience overseeing multi-site operations and facility projects
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between agency locations
**Physical and Mental Requirements:**
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Primarily operates in office, healthcare, residential, and community-based environments
- Requires frequent movement throughout agency facilities and grounds
- Ability to travel between sites and attend meetings across locations as needed
- Ability to inspect maintenance areas, mechanical systems, rooftops, and operational spaces
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
