## Description
**Summary:** **Responsible**for creating and updating documentation, explaining detailed information in a clear and concise manner, and working with engineering, production, and technical staff to ensure accuracy.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Observe and record current procedures for various assembly operations.
- Take photos of component parts and work activities.
- Seek out necessary engineering or quality assurance drawings that assist in showing proper assembly procedure.
- Collaborate with all levels of staff to acquire and verify necessary information for proper documentation.
- Apply gathered information to plan, develop, organize, write, and edit electronic and hard copy operational procedures, work instructions, and manuals.
- Analyze documents and adhere to in-house style guide to maintain continuity of style of content.
- Compile final draft for manufacturing management review and approval.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
## Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- Proficient use of a digital camera for capturing information and operations, applying minor edits with photo editing software, and importing documents.
- Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a professional manner.
- Ability to efficiently work with all levels of staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organization.
- Previous experience in assembly manufacturing/operations helpful but not required.
- Previous experience working with CMS a plus.
- Wear and maintain any required personal protective equipment.
