## Description

**Summary:** **Responsible**for creating and updating documentation, explaining detailed information in a clear and concise manner, and working with engineering, production, and technical staff to ensure accuracy.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Observe and record current procedures for various assembly operations.
  2. Take photos of component parts and work activities.
  3. Seek out necessary engineering or quality assurance drawings that assist in showing proper assembly procedure.
  4. Collaborate with all levels of staff to acquire and verify necessary information for proper documentation.
  5. Apply gathered information to plan, develop, organize, write, and edit electronic and hard copy operational procedures, work instructions, and manuals.
  6. Analyze documents and adhere to in-house style guide to maintain continuity of style of content.
  7. Compile final draft for manufacturing management review and approval.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  3. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
  4. Proficient use of a digital camera for capturing information and operations, applying minor edits with photo editing software, and importing documents.
  5. Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  6. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a professional manner.
  7. Ability to efficiently work with all levels of staff.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organization.
  9. Previous experience in assembly manufacturing/operations helpful but not required.
  10. Previous experience working with CMS a plus.
  11. Wear and maintain any required personal protective equipment.
