About The Role
## Description
### **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Team Leadership & Supervision:**
- Lead and mentor a team of welders and fabricators, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assign tasks based on team members' skills and project requirements.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Delegate work orders and plan based on Aging Reports.
- **Welding & Fabrication:**
- Perform welding operations using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Fabricate metal components and assemblies according to engineering specifications.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- **Blueprint Interpretation & Planning:**
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Plan and organize workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Ensure all materials and tools are prepared and available for fabrication tasks.
- **Safety & Compliance:**
- Enforce safety standards and ensure the team complies with all safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
- **Quality Control & Documentation:**
- Monitor the quality of work produced, ensuring it meets company and industry standards.
- Document all fabrication processes, materials used, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
## Qualifications
### **Qualifications:**
- **Education & Certification:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in welding/fabrication preferred.
- AWS or equivalent welding certification is a plus.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- **Skills:**
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- **Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to [insert weight]).
- Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Willingness to work in a noisy and sometimes hazardous environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
