**House Manager – Deaf Services**

**Location:** Quincy

**Position Type:** Full-Time (37.5hrs)

**Salary: $60,450**

The Residential House Manager offers personalized, person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a group home setting. They provide strategic leadership, manage operations, and oversee the residential program. This position emphasizes maintaining high-quality, safe, and inclusive living spaces, promoting each resident’s well-being and achievements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advancing organizational goals through effective program development, staff supervision, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include

  • Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth
  • Integration of quality of life ideals into daily management and program development
  • Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
  • Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of direct care staff
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with WORK Inc.’s company policy and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire and train employees.
  • Planning, assigning, training and directing work.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • On call responsibilities including out of hours emergencies.

## Qualifications

Requirements

  • **Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)**
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education Social Work, or related Field or one plus years related experience and actively enrolled in a related degree program or minimum five years’ experience.
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and a safe driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and safety care required (training provided)
  • Proficiency with basic technology and electronic documentation systems
