Sagis Diagnostics is seeking a **part**-t**ime Specimen Collector** in Ingram, TX.

  • **Monday. Wednesday, and Fridays, 8 am to 5 pm.- 3 days a week**
  • Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of urine and oral fluid specimens
  • Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify the patient
  • Properly label specimens and complete the requisition form via paper or online portal
  • Follow policies and procedures to properly package and ship specimens
  • Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
  • Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base
  • Follow universal precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens
  • Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Inform Supervisor of daily tasks, unusual problems or deviations from established procedures
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures of Sagis while working at the physician’s office
  • Pick-up, package and ship the specimens when needed

## Qualifications

  • High-school or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of specimen collector experience preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficient in data entry required
  • Urine Drug Screening (UDS) collection experience highly preferred
  • Clean driving record and valid driver license required
  • Reliable mode of transportation required

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic/medical office/lab setting
