**Evaluation Period:** Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester.

**Purpose:** The purpose of the student worker position is to provide essential support to the Health Sciences Department by assisting with various administrative and operational tasks.

**Position dates:** This position begins in S426 or S127 and may continue, subject to satisfactory performance of your duties, the availability of work, and the availability of departmental funds.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist with administrative duties, including but not limited to typing, filing, copying, scanning, and indexing documents, entering data into spreadsheets, and projects as assigned.
  • Maintaining the Health Sciences Function Room and Kitchen area by keeping the place clean and neat at all times.
  • Monitoring office supplies by restocking items and making notes of inventory shortages when needed.
  • Sorting mail.
  • Assist with small design projects, such as event materials.
  • Assist with event coordination, including preparing design projects and event materials, and handling event set-ups before, during, and after events.
  • This position requires communication and coordination with the health sciences coordinator, multiple staff and faculty members, and the Dean.

## Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University.
  • Work Study eligibility required.
  • 15-20 hours per week.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Well organized, punctual, and reliable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Google Suite (Sheets, Forms, Docs), and Canva.
  • Should have strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
  • Should have strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
