Groundskeeper

## Description


The groundskeeper is responsible the maintenance of grounds of industrial, commercial and/or public property. This position is subject to inclement weather conditions and is physically demanding.

**Responsibilities and duties:**

• Provide grounds maintenance as required by contract terms
• Perform grass cutting services using walking or riding mowers (of less than 2000 lbs)
• Trim hedges and edges around walkways, flowerbeds, and wells using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools
• Remove debris and litter to optimize cleanliness of grounds
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other handheld tools
• Spray lawn, shrubs and trees with fertilizer and insecticide as needed
• Place mulch, pine straw and other similar products in garden and/or flower beds
• Plant flowers and other similar plants in garden and/or flower beds
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to clients
• Communicate effectively with client representatives while answering questions regarding grounds maintenance
• Exhibit problem-solving ability to deescalate concerns professionally should the need arise

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen, and must complete a medical fitness-for-duty clearance
