## Description

## **Overview**

The Drywall Carpenter is responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall systems and ceiling components on commercial construction projects. This role works closely with project teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

## **What You'll Do**

  • Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to wood and metal framing.
  • Layout and cut openings for doors, windows, electrical fixtures, and mechanical systems.
  • Apply drywall tape, joint compound, and finishing materials to achieve smooth surfaces.
  • Sand, finish, and repair drywall as needed.
  • Install ceiling tile and related components.
  • Read and interpret building plans and project specifications.
  • Estimate and prepare materials needed for assigned tasks.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for drywall installation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company safety policies and jobsite procedures.

## Qualifications
## **What We're Looking For**

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of drywall, carpentry, or commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and drywall installation equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to project sites.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods, working from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas, lifting, carrying, and positioning materials weighing up to 85 pounds, working in varying jobsite and weather conditions
