### **Position Overview**

Tift County School System, in partnership with **American Facility Services**, is seeking dependable and hardworking **Custodians** to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors across our school campuses.

### **Pay Rate**

• **$11.00/hour**
• **$12.00/hour** *(for 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm shift only)*

### **Available Shifts**

• **7:00 am – 3:30 pm** *(All sites)*
• **10:00 am – 6:30 pm** *(Elementary school sites)*
• **12:00 pm – 8:30 pm** *(Middle school sites)*
• **2:00 pm – 10:30 pm** *(High school site)*

### **Key Responsibilities**

• Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Perform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Maintain cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary school environment
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, district policies, and supervisor instructions
• Supports team goals through cooperation, dependability, and a strong work ethic.

### **Physical Requirements**

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move **25–50 pounds**
• Ability to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
• Comfortable working in varying indoor conditions, including use of cleaning products

### **Additional Requirements**

• Must have reliable transportation and **consistent cellular service** *(Wi-Fi may not be available at all sites) - required for clocking in/out*
• Ability to work assigned shift and location
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
