About The Role

## Description

As a Foster Parent Licensing and Development Coordinator, you will support the operational processes that impact foster parent certification, including pre-certification/licensing, training and ongoing support post certification. You will oversee the Foster Care Homefinding Trainers who prepare, train, and support foster parents throughout their foster care journey while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will ensure completion of foster family certifications and recertifications. You will report to the Director of Foster Care and work onsite. This position does offer a hybrid schedule!

**Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee Foster Care Homefinding trainers and oversee the training programs by evaluating pre-certification and ongoing training programs
  • Monitor training logs of foster parents to ensure training needs of foster parents are provided and up to the regulatory standards
  • Ensure the accuracy of the foster parent licensing process from application through approval
  • Ensure completion of home studies, background checks and all required documentation
  • Manage yearly processes of recertification of foster parents by maintaining accurate records and submitting documentation according to system deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Asst. Dir/Program Coordinators and Homefinders to address any barriers to certification or recertification and to promote retention of foster parents

**Requirements and Education:**

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience in the human services field required
  • A valid NYS driver's license required
