Tint Technician

## Description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Tint Technician is responsible for expertly cutting tint to the correct sixe and applying the tinting on the vehicle with precision. They will also be assisting in applying fabric protectant, detailing, and applying paint protectant while meeting Customer Satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Remove dirt and debris from windows.
2. Applying window primer before fitting the tint.
3. Cutting tint using authorized techniques.
4. Apply and smooth tint onto vehicle windows.
5. Smooth out imperfections.
6. Update system with job information and date of completion.
7. Strip and remove old window tint.
8. Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
9. Assist in other needs of Service department as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties are performed primarily in the Tint Shop work area. Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision. This job also requires periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Standard days and hours of work are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must be able to work 8 hours a day and will be given a regular day off.

5. Excellent oral and communication skills.
6. Knowledge of the correct and neat application of window tinting.
7. Ability to work well independently and with others.
8. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
9. Ability to control costs for application materials.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. HS diploma or GED equivalent.
2. One year experience in the tinting Industry preferred.
