About The Role
## Description
**Summary/Objective:**
Automotive Technician A is a master/senior technician that is an expert in all systems, leadership, and customer interaction. Highly proficient in diagnosing and repairing the most complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
**Essential Functions:**

- Highly proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting all major vehicle systems, including hybrid and electrical vehicles.
- Expert use of all diagnostic and repair tools and equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the latest automotive technologies.
- Leadership abilities, capable of mentoring other technicians and providing expert advice to service advisors.
- Excellent customer communication skills, able to explain technical issues in a way that customers can understand.
- Maintains dealership records that are legible and accurate that reflect the work performed.
- Tests the functionality of parts and systems
- Helps keep repair shop clean and organized.
- Keeps a professional appearance.
- Adheres to all company policy and procedures.
- Leading teams and supervising the work of lower-level technicians (i.e. serves as Journey Worker supporting the GRAP apprenticeships)
- May perform duties as a Shop Foreman when needed.
## Qualifications
**Skills & Qualifications:**
- More than 5 years of experience with advanced certifications or manufacture specific training.
- Able to anticipate and understand customers’ needs and provide viable solutions.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication expertise.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Valid Driver’s License
**Education and Experience:**
- HS diploma or GED equivalent.
- Degree in Automotive repair or minimum of one to three years of progressive experience.
- Willing to obtain on the job training and certifications as needed.
- At least 4 years of Automotive Apprenticeship experience preferred.
