# **Outpatient Clinical Trainee or Mental Health Therapist**

Are you passionate about helping individuals and families achieve better mental health? We are seeking a compassionate and motivated **Clinical Trainee or Mental Health Therapist** to join our Outpatient Mental Health team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced mental health professionals to provide high-quality, person-centered care that empowers clients to improve their overall wellbeing.

As a Clinical Trainee, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, couples, and groups while receiving clinical oversight, direction, and supervision from a qualified mental health professional. ## What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and functional assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups in an outpatient setting.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on each client's unique strengths and needs.
  • Complete outcome measurements and assess client progress throughout treatment.
  • Modify treatment approaches as needed to promote positive outcomes.
  • Coordinate care with families and interdisciplinary treatment team members, including medical providers, schools, county agencies, psychiatric providers, legal professionals, and substance use treatment providers.
  • Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources to support whole-person wellness.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and regulatory standards.
  • Complete intake documentation, screenings, releases of information, and other required paperwork.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
  • Support an integrated approach to care by addressing clients' physical, mental, substance use, and oral health needs.
  • Provide crisis assessments and interventions when appropriate.

## Qualifications

  • Organized and able to maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Eager to learn, grow professionally, and participate in ongoing supervision.

## Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Certification, licensure, or registration with the clinical discipline
  • Unrestricted independent licensure as an LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT in Minnesota
  • Unrestricted independent licensure as a North Dakota LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT is preferred
  • Training or certification DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR preferred
  • Must pass a criminal background check
