Program: Center for Behavioral Health

Location: Norwich

Salary: $22.00-23.00/hour

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday

Are you looking for an opportunity to make changes in peoples’ lives? The Connection Center for Behavioral Health has openings for Engagement Specialists who will provide essential outpatient clerical services for families and adults facing the challenges of mental health and substance use.

The Engagement Specialist is a non-clinical position that supports other team members in the treatment of adults referred by the legal system suffering from substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. The Engagement Specialist is the primary liaison between probation, court support services, bail and court, and the clinical program. This includes: providing risk/need assessments; acting as a clinical care coordinator; acting as a case manager; liaising with treatment providers and community resources; assisting with enrolling clients in entitlement benefits; client engagement and retention in clinical services; and data entry. The Engagement Specialist will work collaboratively with medical, treatment, employment, housing, and educational resources on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree with 2+ years related experience or
• Bachelor’s Degree with no experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred

Orientation

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a mandatory New Hire Orientation that will be scheduled upon hire.
