**POSITION:**PMHNP

**SUPERVISED BY:**Medical Director/Executive Director

**POSITION/INDIVIDUALS SUPERVISED:** Nursing Staff

**INTERRELATIONSHIPS:**Maintains open communication lines with executive team, facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, clients and families. Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services.

**POSITION PURPOSE:** The function of the PMHNP is to assist the Medical Director provide substance abuse services. The PMHNP goal is to assist in ensuring all clinical programs are safe and appropriate to the clients’ specific issues, drug of choice, psychiatric evaluations, charting and documentation and medical history. PMHNP will direct and coordinate medical services and care in coordination with the Medical Director and other areas of the organization while making reasonable accommodations to ensure clients are safe and comfortable as possible during their stay.
