## Description
**Job Summary:**
The Machine Operator will perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on a project. They must be able to perform assigned job duties on time and according to design specifications and work instructions.
**Duties/Responsibilities:**
- **Machine Setup and Operation:**
- Set up machines according to specifications, including adjusting settings and loading materials.
- Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions.
- **Quality Control:**
- Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Take corrective action as needed to address any deviations from quality requirements.
- Document quality control data and report any non-conformities to supervisors.
- **Production Monitoring:**
- Monitor production output and efficiency, making adjustments to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for complex repairs or maintenance tasks.
- **Safety and Compliance:**
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
- **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Keep accurate production records, including machine settings, production counts, and quality control data.
- Communicate production issues or concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
## Qualifications
**Competencies:**
- Must be able to understand written and oral instruction and have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- **Education and Experience:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-1 years of experience.
- **Physical Requirements:**
- Must have the ability to lift, climb, push and pull as needed.
- May have prolonged periods of walking and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
