**Overall Responsibility:**

The SQL Data Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing enterprise data to support accurate reporting, operational insight, and informed decision-making across the organization. This role oversees the integrity and usability of master data, develops and maintains SQL-based queries and reporting solutions, and helps ensure that business stakeholders have timely access to trusted information.

The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with relational databases, reporting environments, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.

The SQL Data Analyst also partners with business users and technical teams to troubleshoot data issues, improve reporting processes, support data governance, and translate business requirements into practical data and reporting solutions.

**This role is to be hired in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.**

**Duties:**

**Data Management & Governance**

• Manage master data processes including creation, updates, validation, maintenance, and deletion aligned with established standards.
• Promote data integrity, standardization, and normalization by identifying inconsistencies and supporting governance initiatives.
• Process confidential and sensitive information in compliance with data privacy and organizational policies.
• Support data governance practices such as data ownership, consistency, and quality controls.

**Reporting, SQL Development & Data Processing**

• Develop, modify, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages for reporting and automation.
• Execute SQL queries to generate recurring and ad hoc reports tracking business and operational performance.
• Generate datasets and data extracts ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in data storage, data mining, cleansing, and reporting best practices.

**Reporting Environment & Data Architecture Support**

• Help design, maintain, and improve reporting environments, including data sources, structures, metadata, and security.
• Support the data warehouse and reporting ecosystem by refining requirements with IT and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate changes in source systems and assess downstream impacts on reports and data structures.
• Support lifecycle management of datasets, reports, and reporting assets (commissioning/decommissioning).

**Data Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution**

• Provide quality assurance for imported and integrated data by validating completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues related to databases, queries, data loads, and outputs; coordinate resolution with technical teams.
• Assess and test new or updated reports, systems, or components to ensure functionality and reliability.

**Access Management, Collaboration & Enablement**

• Administer user access, roles, and permissions for reporting tools and environments while ensuring data security.
• Train end users on reports, dashboards, and data interpretation to improve usability and adoption.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess risks, clarify needs, and translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Perform additional duties and special projects supporting reporting, analytics, and data management priorities.

## Qualifications
**Education and Experience:**

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a data analyst, SQL analyst, reporting analyst, or related role working with enterprise data and reporting solutions.
• Demonstrated work experience handling large data sets, relational databases, and structured reporting environments in a professional setting.
• Hands-on experience writing and modifying T-SQL queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and other SQL-based reporting or data integration components.
• Experience developing recurring and ad hoc reports used to track performance metrics and support operational or strategic decision-making.
• Working knowledge of master data management, metadata concepts, addressing standards, and data quality controls.
• Experience supporting data warehouse or reporting environment enhancements and identifying revised reporting requirements in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to reporting, analytics, or BI tools such as Visual Studio, WebFOCUS BI, Salesforce reporting, or comparable platforms is preferred.
• **Bilingual (Spanish/English) required**

**Skills:**

• Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills, including writing and modifying queries, stored procedures, joins, data transformations, and reporting logic.
• Experience with SSIS packages and SQL-based automation processes used for data integration, loading, or reporting support.
• Ability to analyze large-scale databases, identify issues, and recommend practical software or process improvements.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, metadata standards, data integrity practices, and normalization principles.
• Ability to develop reports that track operational and performance metrics and help systematize automated reporting processes.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to identify risks, define reporting needs, and support data-driven problem solving.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear non-technical language for end users, while also communicating effectively with technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and explain reporting outputs clearly.
• Familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, WebFOCUS BI, Salesforce, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is a plus.
