Landscape Estimator

## Description

The overall responsibility for the landscape estimator position is to be a friendly and professional first impression to potential clients for Blackjack Horticulture. This process will involve meeting with clients, performing take-offs, sourcing materials, and overall bidding/estimating functions related to the pricing and selling of work for new and existing clients.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing clients
• Gather necessary measurements and information on properties and project sites
• Estimate materials, labor, equipment, and other functions necessary to perform work
• Work with existing bid templates and computer programs
• Perform take-offs and measurements on computer
• Work with co-workers in managing projects, ensuring a smooth handoff between estimating and operations
• Routinely follow up on submitted designs and bids

• Close rate/win rate
• Timely proposal submissions
• Accurate estimates
• Timely follow up on submitted designs and proposals

## Qualifications
**Requirements:**

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong character, and solid work ethic
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• College degree in Horticulture is preferred, but not required
• Experience in landscape construction required
• Valid driver’s license, pass drug test and criminal background check
• Embraces relevant technology and actively improves his/her skills
