## ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

**Work Location:**Weirton, WV

**Work Schedule:**Part-time (up to 28 hours/weekly)

**This position is responsible for:**

# Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing, shoes and accessories. Loads and unloads trucks, lifting heavy objects on a regular basis. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, safety and security of the warehouse area. Assists the Building Maintenance Worker as needed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Operates automatic baler machine that loads and fluffs clothes to secure solid bales of clothing with wire.
• Operates forklift to transport bail to storage truck.
• Reads meters to verify weights of bales.
• Examines metal detector and wrapping mechanism for defects.
• Unloads trucks of donated items that are delivered to the warehouse daily.
• Recycles and keeps cardboard boxes organized for use with the baler machine.
• Stores shoes in storage areas.

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:**

• Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull objects (up to 50 lbs.).
• Moderate mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

## WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

**Education and Experience:**

• High school diploma or G.E.D.; and two (2) years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; OR
• any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

**Licenses and Certifications:**

• Valid State Driver's License.
