Truck Driver (7121)

## About this opportunity
Schedule/Hours: Monday – Friday and some Saturdays at 29 hours per week
**This position is responsible for:**
Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick-up donations. Operates the truck in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**

• Reviews scheduled pick-ups to ensure they are scheduled for the correct day of the week and geographical location.
• Prepares donation receipts for customers; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
• Lifts, carries, and/or hauls donations into truck; packs items in truck in a manner that maximizes use of space, protects items from damage, and ensures safety (this applies to donators property as well so that door facings, etc. and outside areas (including trees) are not damaged. • Unloads donations from truck upon arrival at warehouse; distributes items to appropriate locations in the warehouse.

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:** • Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

## What we are looking for in you

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required, and one year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van,
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• **Licenses and Certifications:**Valid State Driver's License.
