## Description
**POSITION SUMMARY**
The Business Analyst sits at the intersection of business stakeholders and technical teams within the Tech & Digital Strategy department, owning the full solution lifecycle across Salesforce platform initiatives; from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, and deployment. The successful candidate brings demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce and Fonteva AMS, translating business needs into configured, tested, and documented solutions in close partnership with business units, subject matter experts, and technical resources.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
*Requirements Gathering and Documentation*
- Elicit and document business requirements using interviews, workshops, process analysis, and use case development
- Maintain requirements traceability and support validation activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare system documentation, specifications, and standard operating procedures
*Salesforce Platform and Fonteva Association Management System (AMS)*
- Configure and support Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
- Serves as a functional subject matter expert across Fonteva AMS to support membership, events, and related business processes
- Collaborate with technical teams on solution design, bringing enough platform knowledge to evaluate tradeoffs and push back on approaches that don’t serve the business need
*Project Delivery*
- Lead requirements through deployment delivery on Salesforce implementation and optimization projects, managing scope, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment without day-to-day oversight
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external implementation partners to communicate requirements, track dependencies, and surface blockers early.
- Lead the user acceptance testing process – develop test plans, coordinate testers, document results, and drive resolution of identified issues
- Produce training materials, change management documentation, and deployment artifacts as a standard part of project close-out
*Business Process Analysis*
- Analyze current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities within Salesforce and related systems
- Create workflow diagrams, process maps, and system documentation
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels of technical fluency
*Data Analysis and Problem Solving*
- Perform data analysis to support requirements development and solution validation
- Document and support the resolution of system issues and configuration gaps
**PRIORITY WILL BE PROVIDED TO CANDIDATES LIVING IN THE DC METRO AREA (MD, DC, or Northern VA); you will be REQUIRED to come into the Arlington, VA office one day per week.
SALARY RANGE: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00**
## Qualifications
**Knowledge**
- Working knowledge of Salesforce platform fundamentals, including core configuration capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field, with 4-5 years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and diagramming tools such as Visio or LucidChart
**Experience**
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Demonstrated experience supporting Salesforce implementation and/or optimization projects across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Fonteva AMS is required; candidates with experience in a comparable association management system (i.e., Nimble AMS) will be considered
- Experience in an e-learning, association, or nonprofit environment preferred
- Willingness to pursue Salesforce certifications within 6-12 months of hire
