# Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

IRpros is currently seeking an experienced **Ammonia Refrigeration Technician** to service clients throughout the Southern California region, including **Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino**.

The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who understands the importance of safety, reliability, customer service, and compliance in industrial refrigeration environments.

## Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems
• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment
• Respond to emergency service

## Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification in refrigeration or HVAC systems preferred
• 2+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and related safety regulations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites throughout the assigned service area

## Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to work in cold-temperature environments and wear required personal protective equipment
• Ability to climb ladders, use power tools, and perform hands-on manual labor
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and work in a variety of industrial environments for extended periods of time
