Maintenance/Mechanic

## RESPONSIBILITES

Capital Sand is looking for a Maintenance/Mechanic Technician. This position would encompass welding/fabrication, mechanical work, and preventative/routine maintenance for our Jefferson City, MO location.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our machinery and equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols
• Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials
• Uses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements
• Operates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirements
• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Perform safety checks on heavy equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Must maintain equipment and machinery
• Other duties as assigned

## Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintenance experience
• Welding experience
• Mechanical experience
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
