Lifeguard (Indoor Pool) $16/hr

## Description

The Blue Valley Recreation Commission is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Lifeguards at our indoor aquatic facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our pool patrons. You’ll be a vital part of our team, maintaining a watchful eye over swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and responding promptly to any emergencies. Your friendly demeanor and strong communication skills will help create a positive and safe environment for all visitors. Preference is given to applicants already to processing a Red Cross Guard Certification.

Flexible Schedules available for mornings, daytime, evenings and weekends.

Starting pay is **$15-$16**/hour depending on availability and experience.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Surveillance

## Qualifications

Requirements

• Must be 15 years of age
• **Red Cross Lifeguard (including deep water) with CPR/AED and First Aid for the professional rescuers**
• A positive and alert attitude including a friendly and approachable demeanor is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to pass a background check
