**SUMMARY**

The **Service & Commissioning Supervisor** provides day-to-day leadership for the Field Service and Controls teams. This position is responsible for supervising field service technicians, leading the controls team, coordinating material management for service and controls operations, and overseeing commissioning and startup activities. The Supervisor serves as the company's technical expert for industrial control systems, ensuring equipment is built, tested, commissioned, and supported safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The role also works closely with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure materials, parts, and resources are available to support manufacturing, service, and customer projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • Lead the daily activities of the Service and Controls teams.
  • Assign priorities, schedules, and workloads.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop technicians.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Project Management, and Customers.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for PLCs, HMIs, Burner Management Systems, instrumentation, VFDs, and electrical controls.
  • Review electrical drawings and troubleshoot complex controls issues.
  • Support controls standardization and process improvements.
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
  • Supervise startup and commissioning activities.
  • Direct field service operations and technician assignments.
  • Provide advanced technical support for troubleshooting and warranty issues.
  • Review service documentation and ensure timely completion.
  • Develop SOPs and commissioning procedures.
  • Track KPIs and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend tooling, software, and process improvements.

**REQUIREMENTS**

  • 5+ years of industrial controls, automation, commissioning, or field service experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, BMS, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills at a high level required.
  • Initiative and creative problem-solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment required.
  • Ability to review and implement practices to assure full compliance with client specifications required.

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and work on a computer.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
  • Must be able to see, speak, hear, and read.
  • Must use fingers and hands to manipulate/utilize office machines.
  • Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces.
  • Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must wear all required PPE.
  • Must be able to travel by car and airplane to other facilities if needed.
  • Driving is an essential function of this position; clean driving record is required.
