## **Emergency Department RN Responsibilities**

• Provide direct patient care including **assessment, triage, and treatment**
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Monitor patient conditions and respond rapidly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Support efficient patient flow and department operations
• Maintain high standards of patient experience and communication
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection control standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team training
• Support and guide CNAs and team members as needed
