About The Role

## Description
Midland University, a small, private four-year institution in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking an adjunct faculty
member to teach Police & Society in-person on campus. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing engaging classroom
activities, providing timely feedback on assignments, and responding to student inquiries within 24-hours, meeting with them individually as
needed. Courses are offered in 16-week terms. The Fall term begins in August. This course is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3:20pm.
**Qualifications:**

  • A master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely-related discipline is
  • highly preferred (extensive policing experience can possibly substitute for an
  • advanced degree)
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, teaching at the
  • college level or teaching/ training adults is preferred.
  • ● Familiarity with the Canvas LMS is preferred.
