**Assembly Technician**

YakAttack is a leading manufacturer of innovative kayak fishing gear based in Farmville, VA. Our Assembly Technicians build components and finished products using a variety of tools and fixtures. Watch the video on our company page to see our team, our facility, and all open roles.

**What You’ll Do:**

  • Assemble components and finished products using hand tools, battery-powered drills, drill presses, heat guns, saws/cutting tools, pneumatic fixtures, and basic measurement tools.
  • Follow established assembly procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform visual quality checks and ensure products meet YakAttack standards.
  • Participate in random quality checks and maintain accountability for work through traceability.
  • Rotate between assembly stations based on workflow, demand, and inventory availability.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow all safety procedures.
  • Communicate defects, shortages, or equipment issues to the Assembly Supervisor.
  • Assist Shipping during high-volume periods when needed.
  • Work additional hours during peak demand, including some Saturdays, based on business needs.

**Schedule & Work Environment:**

  • Full-time, weekday manufacturing schedule.
  • Additional hours may be scheduled during peak demand, including some Saturdays.
  • Manufacturing environment with frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions.
  • Rotating stations based on workflow and inventory.
  • Located at YakAttack headquarters in Farmville, VA.

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Positive, professional attitude.
  • Reliable work habits and ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, and pneumatic fixtures.
  • Basic measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, gauges).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production preferred.
