## Description
**Job Purpose**
Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is a high-growth, publicly traded technology company and a world leader in next-generation GaN and SiC power semiconductors. We are seeking a Sr. Field Application Engineer based in Taiwan to drive technical design-ins and system-level architecture wins across the AI Data Center (AIDC) and high-power AC/DC markets, targeting cutting-edge server Power Supply Units (PSU), Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and high-performance compute infrastructures.
Taiwan sits at the heart of the global AI server and power supply chain, home to leading ODMs, OEM R&D centers, and power supply manufacturers driving the world’s most advanced cloud and AI hardware. This high-visibility technical role operates with significant ownership and autonomy, requiring deep, collaborative relationships with system architects, R&D engineers, and technical leadership at Taiwan’s most strategic data center and high-power accounts.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties:**
- Own and drive design-in activities from assigned Taiwan-based AC/DC PSU, DC/DC converter, and high-power laptop/workstation adapter accounts, targeting server power supplies, energy storage systems (ESS), Solid-state transformers (SST) and telecom/Industrial power modules (Bricks)
- Provide comprehensive system-level guidance, including topology selection, component sizing,. Schematic and PCB layout reviews. Drive design-in activity from NPI across assigned accounts
- Engage decision-makers across engineering, power architecture and executive leadership at Taiwan ODMs and dedicated PSU/adapter manufacturers
- Clearly articulate and demonstrate the quantifiable value proposition of Navitas GaN and SiC solutions in terms of efficiency, power density, thermal performance, and total cost of ownership
- Guide customers in migrating from legacy silicon to advanced wide-bandgap (GaN/SiC) solutions to maximize power density and efficiency in high-power applications.
- Hands-On Lab Validation. Conduct rigorous lab testing and prototype bring-up. Troubleshoot and solve complex design challenges related to high-power conversion, including AC/DC control loop stability, thermal management, high-frequency magnetic design, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and internal R&D. Translate emerging customer requirements in the Server PSU and ESS markets into actionable product definitions and roadmap enhancements to support our market competitiveness.
## Qualifications
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**
- Deep knowledge of the Taiwan PSU and power adapter supply chain ecosystem, including key ODMs, EMS providers, and standalone PSU/adapter manufacturers
- Strong technical understanding of AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion topologies including PFC, LLC resonant, flyback, synchronous rectification, and totem-pole architectures
- Experience and understanding of GaN and SiC power device advantages in switching frequency, efficiency, and power density for PSU and adapter applications
- High degree of professional accountability, self-motivation, and the ability to champion initiatives internally and externally
**Requirements**
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a specialized focus on Power Electronics.
- Technical Experience: 7+ years of hands-on R&D or FAE experience strictly focused on designing, developing, or supporting high-power AC/DC systems (e.g., kW-class Server PSUs, Grid-tied Inverters, Bi-directional ESS, or high-density telecom bricks).
- Prior experience with GaN or SiC power semiconductor companies or power conversion IC vendors is preferred
- Design Capabilities: Strong practical power supply design capabilities, with solid knowledge of power performance testing specifications, safety regulations, and EMI.
- Topology Mastery: Familiarity with common power topologies such as Flyback, ACF, and PFC/LLC. Mastery of standard AC-DC power circuit design and control circuit design.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Protel/Altium) and familiarity with simulation and calculation software such as SIMPLIS and Mathcad.
- Language: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese; business level English proficiency
